FLEXDRIVE – SMART VACUUM CONTROL

FLEXDRIVE represents a new generation of DVP machines. Integrated directly during manufacturing, it replaces the traditional vacuum gauge and electrical control panel with a single advanced control system managed by an enhanced inverter and a pressure sensor.

The system automatically adjusts the speed of vacuum pumps and blowers according to the vacuum or pressure level required by the application.

By continuously regulating machine speed, FLEXDRIVE maintains the desired setpoint while reducing energy consumption, limiting mechanical stress and ensuring stable process performance.

Available only as a factory configuration FLEXDRIVE is not an aftermarket accessory.

The technology is integrated directly during the manufacturing of the vacuum pump or blower and is available only on selected product configurations.

How FLEXDRIVE works

FLEXDRIVE operates through a closed-loop control system. A pressure sensor continuously measures the vacuum or pressure level of the system and compares the actual value with the user-defined setpoint.

The FLEXDRIVE control logic automatically adjusts the motor speed via the inverter, increasing or decreasing the machine speed only when required. The result is precise and continuous process control with stable performance even when operating conditions change.

Advantages of FLEXDRIVE Integrated Technology

• Precise Vacuum and Pressure Control: the desired vacuum or pressure value is easily set via the LCD display. The integrated pressure sensor continuously adjusts the pump speed to maintain the selected setpoint.
• Higher Energy Efficiency: the programmed acceleration ramp significantly reduces inrush current compared with direct-on-line starting. Depending on the application, the system automatically switches to standby or stops the machine when the target value is reached, helping reduce energy consumption and extend machine lifetime.
• Maximum Operating Flexibility: machine behaviour can be configured according to the application requirements: automatic stop once the target value is reached or continuous operation at minimum speed for applications with constant demand.
• Simplified Design and Lower Operating Costs: by eliminating the external electrical panel and mechanical vacuum gauge, FLEXDRIVE reduces installation complexity, saves space and helps lower maintenance requirements over time.
